Why we do it...
To share and keep alive the ‘oral’ tradition of conjuring the blues. It’s the spirit of the ones that came before in that old instrument, the wood floors, or graffiti on the walls… or it may be simply the frequency of music created with the energy of the room at that moment. Whichever way it hits a recipient, the impact is at a deep, soul level. This is how musicians are created as well as the loyal fans of the Blues. We resolve to spread the pure joy of blues music and the Blues experience far and wide for as long as you’ll let us! We strive to honor the standards and syntax of the ‘old language’ to create new expressions, for a new generation, struggling through a different world.
